Justin Doubleday is a reporter covering cybersecurity, homeland security and the intelligence community for Federal News Network. He also hosts Inside the IC, a show that dives deep into current events and trends affecting U.S. intelligence agencies and their employees.
At Federal News Network, Justin has spearheaded coverage on important issues to federal employees and executives, including how agencies are responding to evolving cyber threats; what defense and intelligence agencies are doing to streamline the security clearance process; and how the federal government can be more accessible for people with disabilities.
In addition to reporting, Justin moderates panel discussions for Federal News Network and other organizations, including ATARC and the Association for Federal Information Resources Management. These panels cover topics including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and federal workforce development issues.
In 2013, Justin graduated with his bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism from the University of New Hampshire, where he worked at the student newspaper, The New Hampshire (TNH). At TNH, Justin was a reporter, the sports editor and the executive editor.
After graduating from UNH, Justin came to Washington, D.C., for an internship at The Chronicle of Higher Education. He then joined the newsroom of Inside Defense in 2014 and was a reporter there for seven years, covering multiple topics including Army procurement, Navy shipbuilding and the Pentagon’s evolving emerging technology strategies. He joined Federal News Network in 2021.
